The Lorain Police Department is committed to serving the community of Lorain and believes officers best serve when they understand the needs and expectations of the people. Additionally, the community’s needs are best met when the Lorain Police Department partners with others. As a result, the Lorain Police Department has formed the Community Partnership Team (CPT). This specialized unit endeavors to connect with the community, better understand the needs and expectations of the people, develop effective partnerships, and ultimately provide comprehensive service.
Accordingly, the Lorain Police Department maintains an important relationship with the Lorain Metropolitan Housing Authority. Through this partnership, the CPT has established a substation at 2139 W. 24th Street. As a result, the CPT will provide better accessibility for and interaction with the residents of West View Terrace and Leavitt Homes, as well as the broader community. The Lorain Police Department and the CPT are committed to the people of Lorain.
