Marquis McCall Homicide- Reward Offered

On 6/22/09 Marquis McCall was shot and killed at the corner of Long and W.13th. The shooting was an apparent revenge shooting for the Christopher Hill murder which occurred hours earlier. A gold Ford Taurus was involved in the shooting. This vehicle was located shortly after the murder and video footage of four suspects leaving the vehicle was captured and can be viewed on the Morning Journal’s web site. Anyone who has information on the suspects or would like to view the video tape please contact Det. Sivert 440-204-2105 #237. A $ 5000 reward is currently being offered for information leading to the identity of the suspects.

Christopher Lundberg Homicide - REWARD OFFERED

On 02/03/09 Christopher Lundberg was fatally shot in an apparent drug deal gone bad in the area of W.29th St. and Ashland Ave. in Lorain. Avery Taylor and Andrew Lorenzana have been arrested and charged in this case, but it is believed another person was with them in their vehicle, a black 2002 Ford Explorer, when they shot Lundberg. There is also the possibility that others may have witnessed the incident.

Darren Rene Grove aka Shorty (age 41)

Darren Grove was fatally shot on January 15, 2007 sometime around 1:30 AM while in his residence. After having been shot Darren managed to exit his residence making it to the front sidewalk of his W. 18th St. home where he expired.

Jose Jimenez, HM/45

Jose Jimenez was found stabbed to death in his one room apartment on December 3rd, 1993, at 2108 E. 28th Street in Lorain, Ohio. Jimenez suffered from multiple stab wounds to the head , neck, and chest areas. The 3 l/2" blade of a Ginsu knife, the apparent weapon, was discovered still lodged in a neck wound. The handle to that knife was never located.

Tammy D. Beetler, WF/31

Tammy D. Beetler was brutally beaten to death on February 9, 1995. Her body was discovered that afternoon by family members at her West 21st Street home. She was married and had two children. To date, numerous leads have been investigated; however no arrests have been made. Investigating officers believe there may be someone that has information involving Tammy’s death, but is reluctant to come forward. Please contact the Lorain Police Department Criminal Investigations Bureau at (440) 204-2105 or e-mail may be sent to Captain Russ Cambarare if you have any information regarding her death. All information will remain confidential.

Tommy Gamble, BM/46

Tommy Gamble was fatally shot on July 9, 2003 sometime around 2 AM, while walking in the area of Long Ave. and West 17th St. He was found laying in the road at that location suffering from a single gunshot wound to the head.

Jerome Lusane was shot to death while attending a birthday party at the Lorain U.A.W. Hall, Baumhart Road, Lorain, Ohio on April 24th, 1988.
