The Lorain Lighthouse Foundation is sponsoring tours of the Historic Lorain Lighthouse. Tickets are $20 each, tickets can be purchased by calling the Lorain Port Authority at 440-204-2269, the Port Authority website:  www.lorainportauthority.com  or the day of the tours at Black River Landing.  The tour boat departs Black River Landing every 30 minutes.  No children under 12.  full story

Four New Police Officers Sworn In

On Friday, June 8, 2012, four new police officers were sworn in by Mayor Chase Ritenauer.  All four officers recently graduated from the Cleveland Heights Police Academy.  With the hiring of these additional officers, it will bring the number of Police Officers up to 100. full story
