Officer Kyle Gelenius of the Lorain Police Department recently graduated from the Leadership Lorain County class of 2009 on Wednesday May 27, 2009. Gelenius represented the Lorain Police Department amongst forty other Lorain County leaders which made up this year’s class. LLC’s mission is to foster life long leaders who serve as catalysts for positive change. Every year, each class is expected to produce class projects that give back to the community. The 2009 class had several class projects ranging from a new playground built at The Westview Terrace Homes in Lorain that Gelenius co-chaired, to a veteran’s project focusing on Lorain County vets from the Iraq/Afghanistan war to bring all vet curriculum to LCCC and a vet resource page on loraincounty.com.
